随着学院新院长的上任和近几年教学质量和口碑的下滑，世界顶尖艺术类院校英国皇家艺术学院RCA在2019-2020申请季处在了变革的风口浪尖。就目前而言，随着官网的改版，RCA的申请要求网页也在不断变化，让很多意向申请皇艺的小伙伴感到手足无措。今天当我们打开RCA几个热门专业的页面时，发现相比较于去年，RCA在作品集的大方向要求和语言的要求又有了update，让我们一起来看看吧！
01.关于申请流程页面的变化（MA and MRes Application Process）
变化1：取消了11月13号的申请截止时间
变化2：取消了关于作品集5页的要求
很诡异的是目前已经到10月中旬了，按照以往的惯例RCA应该已经开放在线申请系统了，但是截止到现在依旧是一句”Applications for 2020/21 entry will open shortly.“，而且很多新的要求和作品集要求都需要进入在线系统查看，所以小伙伴们还需要耐心等待。我们也在和RCA的工作人员联系，有确定回复后会第一时间通知大家。
02.关于作品集的要求变化（Portfolio requirement）
目前我查询了几个申请人数比较多的热门专业，包括但不限于Service Design、Design Products、Innovation Design Engineering、Interior Design等专业，在programme介绍页面的申请要求栏中都更新了作品集和语言的要求。其中几个专业的作品集要求都是一样的，所以这个要求有可能只是一个测试更新，大家先作为参考，反正今年已经习惯了RCA的善变了。
作品集要求原文如下：
Your portfolio is a showcase of your work as an artist or designer and can be made up of images, videos or writing examples. Your portfolio helps us to better understand your application and allows you to show evidence of your ability and motivation to undertake a given programme.
Generally, we’re looking for you to demonstrate your:
- Creativity, imagination and innovation
- Ability to articulate the intentions of the work
- Intellectual engagement in areas relevant to the work
- Technical skills appropriate to the work
- Potential to benefit from the programme
Each programme is looking for different things in a portfolio. Each Head of Programme provides specific advice on portfolio requirements in the online application system. We advise you to consider these requirements carefully before submitting your application.
作品集要求简单分析：
第一段话可以忽略，说了等于没说，意思是作品集要展示自己的能力等等。重点是有关作品集要体现的能力如下：
- 创造力，想象力和创新
- 表达工作意图的能力
- 体现多领域的综合能力
- 体现专业的技术能力
- 从该计划中受益的潜力
而最终要的关于具体的每个专业要求还是得等申请系统开放后才可得知，可是这迟迟不开的申请系统着实让人心碎。
03.关于语言的要求变化（English-language requirements）
语言今年貌似也有一些要求上的变化，对于写作小分要求是不低于6.0，对于申请的同学们而言无疑又是增加了难度。
语言要求原文如下：
If you are not a national of a majority English-speaking country you will need the equivalent of an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with a 6.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE).
You are exempt from this requirement if you have received a 2.1 degree or above from a university in a majority English-speaking nation within the last two years.
但是呢···但是呢，过往语言要求为雅思总分不低于7.0的Innovation Design Engineering专业要求也是总分6.5，所以这个要求我感觉还是得有变化的。哎，更新到这里，我也只能是风中凌乱了，很好奇RCA的申请部门目前到底是个什么工作状态。
